Singing
the Baroque, and beyond: Vocal style, performance practice
and institutions
This one-day NEMA conference is open to all, and will cover music from the early 17th to the late 18th centuries. It follows on from our 2018 event on vocal music in the Renaissance and early Baroque https://bremf-nema-conference-20185.webnode.page/. The speakers will include leading scholars, performers and editors.
The themes or topics for presentations may include any of the following: voice types and voice production, vocal pedagogy, performance practice, repertoire and styles, transplanted musical traditions, institutions, archives and collections.
Submissions
Expressions of interest from speakers, abstract submissions for 20' papers, or suggestions for round-table themes, should be emailed to both Dr David Allinson davidallinson.choral(at)gmail.com
